I have been awarded an NWO VENI Grant. 

My working paper (with Hans van Kippersluis, Owen O´Donnell and Eddy van Doorslaer) "Effects of Health on Own and Spousal Employment and Income using Acute Hospital Admissions" is now available.  

My working paper (with Jaume Puig-Junoy and David Casado-Marin) "Free Medicines thanks to Retirement: Moral Hazard and Hospitalization Offsets in an NHS" is now available.  

My paper "Institutions, health shocks and labour market outcomes across Europe" has been published in the Journal of Health Economics.  

My paper (joint with Hans-Martin von Gaudecker and Maarten Lindeboom) "Health, disability and work: Patterns for the working age population" has been been published in the journal International Tax and Public Finance.

My paper "Informal care and labour force participation among middle-aged women in Spain" (with David Casado and Ángel López-Nicolás) has been published in SERIEs: the Journal of the Spanish Economic Association.  

Since January I am a Marie Curie Intra-European Research Fellow. 

Since December I am a Research Fellow of the Tinbergen Institute. 

My working paper (with Sergi Jiménez-Martin and Judit Vall Castelló) "Health, disability and pathways into retirement in Spain" is now available.
